How to Find Your Towed Car?
There are several ways to find your car if it has been towed. You don't need to go to the nearest parking lot, because the car is probably not there. Instead:
1. You can find out immediately by calling 155.
2. If the vehicle was towed within the borders of Istanbul, you can also learn about it through the SMS service newly introduced by the Police Department. Text PARK space PLATE to 1550. You will receive an informational message in return. It will state which parking lot it was towed to, at what time and date, and how much you need to pay.
3. You can access all detailed information by downloading the E-Devlet application. Thanks to this newly added feature, you can view your vehicle's information by clicking on the "Inquire About My Towed Car's Parking Lot Information" button. When your vehicle is towed, the user receives an instant notification on their phone. If the application is installed, the notification comes to the application; if not, it comes to the email address. If your vehicle has been towed due to a violation, this information is also available on e-Devlet. The parking lot it is in, the parking lot's address, and phone number are also provided to the users.
4. You can find out where your vehicle was towed by visiting the internet address https://www.egm.gov.tr/sayfalar/trafik_sorgulari.aspx and entering your name, surname, date of birth, and T.C. identity number.
5. Besides these, there is another method valid only for vehicles towed in Istanbul. You can learn the status of your vehicle through the application implemented by the Istanbul Police Department. You can access your vehicle's information by visiting www.istmop.com or downloading the İSTMOP application. Photos of the towed vehicle, location information, and the reason for towing are included in this information.

According to Law No. 2918, the daily parking fees for vehicles confiscated or towed from traffic are as follows:
5 TL for motorcycles, 2 TL for motorbikes like mopeds, 12 TL for cars, 20 TL for buses, trucks, tractors, and construction machinery, 12 TL for minibuses, pickup trucks, and off-road vehicles, and 30 TL for trailers and tractor-trailers. These prices include VAT. The daily parking fees for vehicles impounded from traffic due to enforcement proceedings or public receivables are as follows: 1 TL for motorbikes like mopeds, 3 TL for motorcycles, 5 TL for cars, 5 TL for minibuses, pickup trucks, and off-road vehicles, 12 TL for trucks, buses, tractors, and construction machinery, and 15 TL for trailers and tractor-trailers. For vehicles confiscated from traffic and not collected from the parking lot within 6 months, proceedings are carried out according to Law No. 5335 published in the Official Gazette on 27.04.2005.
