Chewing in Puppies

Chewing in Puppies
Puppies often chew due to teething, boredom, or stress, and this behavior should be discouraged as soon as possible before it becomes ingrained. Giving puppies ice cubes can help with teething, and providing safe chew toys can reduce boredom in your puppies. This way, even when you are not around, they won't chew on dangerous items. Puppies that have just been separated from their mother or siblings need time to adjust to their new homes; once they are accustomed, they see you as their family and pack and want to spend as much time with you as possible. Although you may need to leave them alone at times, this is a stressful and upsetting situation for them. This is because dogs don't know when you'll return, they worry, and they may cry and whine. Puppies need reassurance and praise to cope with loneliness.

Playing Games with Dogs

Dogs need daily exercise and regular playtime. Play is the most important interaction between you and your puppy. It helps them develop their socialization skills, supports their exercise, and strengthens the bond between you. It also indirectly allows your puppies to release pent-up energy. Puppies will nudge you, pull at your pants, or make gestures with their heads to invite you to play.
